Green Cleaning in Practice: What LEED and WELL Actually Ask For

Buildings pursuing LEED or WELL credits need more than eco-friendly product choices. The credit language is about a program: what is used, how it is applied, who was trained, and what evidence exists.

The four pillars auditors look for

  • Certified products with documentation on file (EcoLogo, Green Seal, or equivalent)
  • Equipment standards: filtration vacuums, microfibre systems, controlled dilution
  • Training records showing staff understand the protocol, not just the products
  • A written cleaning policy with measurable performance targets

Where programs fail

Almost always in documentation. The crew may be doing everything right, but if nobody can produce the product list and training log at audit time, the credit is at risk. Build the paperwork into the service, not into a scramble.

We can align a scope to your certification targets and hand you the documentation set as part of routine reporting.
