The Summer Deep Clean: How Schools Should Use Their Eight Weeks
By Probello Facility Services · June 30, 2026 · 6 min read

September readiness is decided in July. Schools that plan the summer program by week — rather than treating it as one long deep clean — finish with time for verification and touch-up.
A workable week map
- Weeks 1–2: classroom clear-out, desk and chair detail, wall washing
- Weeks 3–4: hard floor strip and seal, gym floor program
- Weeks 5–6: washrooms, change rooms, and locker deep service
- Week 7: library, offices, specialty rooms, and high dusting
- Week 8: verification walk, touch-up, and restock for day one
Vetting matters even in summer
Crews in school buildings should hold Vulnerable Sector Checks regardless of whether students are present. We provide those records as part of mobilization.
